Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu had a meeting on Wednesday, with Polish Senate Marshall Stanislaw Karczewski, who is paying a visit to Romania at the invitation extended by the Romanian Senate President.
In this context, the Romanian Minister highlighted the very good cooperation between Romania and Poland on a bilateral level, on the executive and parliamentary dimension, as well as on a multilateral level, within NATO, the EU and in the regional cooperation formats.
He assessed that the the relations between the two countries represent a benchmark of bilateral cooperation within the EU, relying on numerous interests and close positions, a release of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) sent to AGERPRES informs.
Both parties have reiterated the interest for the European common cause and the commitment for a closer collaboration between the authorities of the two states, the quoted source points out.
